3D Medical Animation of DVT & Pulmonary Embolism

Uploaded by: nucleusanimation
Video Description:
This 3D medical animation shows a blood clot forming in a lower leg vein, creating a deep vein thrombosis, or DVT. When the thrombus breaks free of the valve, it is called an embolus, and travels toward the heart and lungs. The animation ends by showing the embolus lodging in the lung tissue forming a life-threatening pulmonary embolism (PE). As you may already be aware, the problem is that pressure on the underside of thighs from the seat pan and the edge of the seat pan presses against the thighs, which reduces back flow of blood; only redistributing pressure can help.

I had a DVT and PE. I had a record breaking clot. It was from the groin in my right leg down past my knee. My doctors had never seen a clot this large. I had to have emergency surgery. Angioplasty didn't work, so I now have stents in my veins and a Greenfield filter to keep any residual clot from going to my heart, lungs or brain. You may have to have something like that if you don't get better soon. Good Luck.

Really? What did the test results say? I'm asking because i have anti-thrombin 3 deficiency. which is a hereditary clotting disorder. Other than my Dad, you'd be the only other person i've talked to that has it.
